Quiet Path
I took this one evening after a Fantasia showing. Its a little overdue, I admit. However, Pokemon Go has made downtown Montreal more populated even in the evenings, which is not a bad thing however there was a moment of tranquility as I walked down this path.

What flowers do you like to use for centerpiece decorations?Â
Announcement: Site Revamp Happening Now!
After some thought, I’ll be revamping the site a little. Â I’m working on making the blog a little broader in topics. Hence, the change in the blog title. When it is all done, I will be changing the site address. Â There shouldn’t be a hassle.
The reasons for this is partially to pair up with some upcoming changes over at my main blog. Â The site revamp shouldn’t cause any specific differences however, having just creative pieces here feels a little too heavy for me. Â The moving of some past creative pieces over here will keep happening once or twice a week. Â I will get back to doing at least one Fifty during this transformation period.
What to expect when things go back to full swing is The Classics Adventures which used to be on my main site. Â With that, book reviews will also be done here. Â I’ll be linking up my Goodreads account. Â There will be little inspirational photography sessions that I’ll move over here as well.
With that said, its exciting to expand what has been created here. Â The focus after the final revamp, hopefully to launch in the beginning of March, will change the site to Avenue of Daydreams where we explore creative writing, books and photography adventures. Â Maybe, dabble in some inspirational tidbits.
Its always a challenge to start something up from scratch and this new blog has been struggling to grow because I couldn’t find a balance, hopefully, this change will be the key to bigger and better things! 🙂
“Maybe it’s the same with people. If you lose your purpose, it’s like you’re broken.” – Hugo
Daily Prompt: Take a quote from your favorite movie — there’s the title of your post. Now, write! – The Daily Post
Today, we’re going to do something a little different. Â I wanted to use this space to focus on writing and that originally included daily prompts because I no longer seemed to fit what I wanted with where my primary blog is going. Â Except, with WordPress’s new setup, I constantly forget that Days, Nights and Daydreams exist anymore even when I keep having fantastic Out Of This World Travel ideas and some pretty nice Fifty topics as well. Â This is my secondary blog but its also a place I think I might attract a different crowd, however that doesn’t change who I am. Â I’m still a true blogger, an avid film lover and an immense bookworm and a completely musically obsessed person. Â I have dreams and passion even if they are really focused. Â So here we go with this daily prompt!!
What is the purpose of life? You know, I think its a question that we constantly ask ourselves. Â At least the majority of us, Some of you lucky ones out there know exactly what you want to do with your life and you achieve it with hard work. Â For that, there are days I envy your commitment and clear direction.
I think last year was the year I felt the most broken. Â Although my personal life was taking course and there were some great changes and achievements, I also lost track of what I wanted to do. Â I reverted back to that dreary sarcastic self and I kept trying to pull myself back out over and over again. Its times like these, I think about these inspiring quotes.
Hugo is one of my favorite movies. Â And that quote up there, along with this one, comforts me a lot. Â The quote reminds me a little that everything happens for a reason and that even though it seems my purpose in life isn’t really all that clear. Everything that I do and every step, as little as it is, will take me somewhere that will open up new opportunities and new experiences. Â Thats what life is about, right?
I’m not sure whether my career and job will ever be the same thing or even if I’ll ever get out of a seemingly stable job (which although I dislike at times, am extremely grateful to have), but I always wonder if my purpose will be more. Â But then, I’ve always felt a greater purpose being simply a better person and the best version of myself and staying true to my heart.
A little bit of a ramble but when in doubt and you may feel lost, remember, we all have a reason to be here 🙂
Happy New Year 2015!
Happy 2015! (I know its a little belated)
I know its been pretty quiet here since November 2014. Â Its been increasingly hard to keep up with two blogs. Â BUT, I’m not giving up. Â This year, with more organization, I’ll be working on getting two Fifty posts out per week and possibly, every two weeks, we’ll go on an Out of this World Travels.
We are still in San Fransokyo right now, given no one has abandoned yet or decided to reside there permanently, but we’re moving by the end of this week and continuing on 😉
Thats all for now! Things are starting back up here!
I’m sorry that I’ve neglected this place for so long, but I’m back and kick things back into gear. At the same time, I’ll think up one or two new segments when I get a chance. In the meantime, if you ever feel inclined to do so, you can head over to my primary blog, Tranquil Dreams where there is more activity bustling: movie & book reviews plus baking adventures!
Wishing all of you the best in 2015! Lets have fun! 🙂
Out of this World Travels: The Glades & Maze
Fellow travelers, I have a very serious announcement to make.
I am full of grief as I report that we’ve landed accidentally in The Glades. The plane needs a little bit of maintenance and I hope that the boys at the Glades will be able to improvise something to help us get this through the tough time.
Wait, I see a arm waving in the distance. Yes? Oh, you’re asking me what is this Glades area?

Right, we’re actually in a closed space. These boys and a girl have been trapped here for the last 2 years and they are waiting for the place to open up. Â They are enclosed in this are where they call The Glades. Â It is where it holds their living quarters and their means to survive. The supplies arrive for them, sometimes not all that they ask for, during the month and they get a new addition every month at the same time.
Try to not bother the boys because they each have their jobs. Â The most important is the Runners who go out into the maze at dawn when the big stone walls open to figure out how to get out.
They can’t remember anything about their past but they gave a precaution to stay in so that you will not be attacked by mysterious creatures outside. Good news is that usually they are nocturnal beasts so if things proceed as usual, you should be safe.
I’m trying to get us out of here as soon as possible. Â I just hope the improvisation will get us out soon! Try to not let these boys affect you too much. Â Its tough to stay happy here but them included, we all try to just live day by day. It’ll make you enjoy your life so much more!
**I recently finished The Maze Runner by James Dashner. Â It has a very unique premise for yet another teenage dystopian world. Still, who doesn’t like to read about dystopia? It is quickly becoming one of my most anticipated movies in 2014 and its due to be released in Montreal on September 19, 2014.
Out of This World Travels: Arendelle
Its completely a coincidence that this week, I finally had the chance to watch the newest Disney animation, Frozen. It seems fitting that our first out of this world travels is to a fairy tale land.
Frozen is set in Arendelle where Princess Elsa and Anna live. Â Its a beautiful little place in this beautiful July weather. Â The castle is lovely and its cozy surrounded by mountains and water.
Even after Princess Elsa becomes of age and totally freezes over Arendelle and its surroundings, the gloomy winter still proves to be delicately beautiful. Â The natural beauty cannot hide the elegance of this place. Places with royal families may be full of turmoil but things do get better in the end and in this fairy land, it gets pretty magical.
Plus, even under a possible eternal snow, the little cottages rows and rows full of their Arendelle citizens are lovely. Â The harbour shines through and its a lovely place to travel.
I wouldn’t want to spoil the movie for those who haven’t seen it but lets just say, when things settle down, you get the best of the both worlds.  And thats the Arendelle we’ve travelled to.  With Elsa and her magical powers in tow and Anna helping her at her side and Olaf, the actual real and moving and somewhat snowman, this sounds like a great start for our adventures together 🙂
Have you seen Frozen? What appeals to you about Arendelle: the seasons, maybe meeting the princesses, or its the only moving snowman?Â
